Atokhon Ganiev

Atokhon, an investigative journalist based in Tajikistan, collaborates extensively with international media and writes about corruption, economics, the environment and gender issues.

Atokhon Ganiev is an investigative journalist from Tajikistan in Central Asia. He has rich journalistic experience as a journalist and editor. He worked in various media – television, radio, print and online media.

As an author and leader with the support of the European Union, the Open Society Institute – Assistance Fund in Tajikistan, DFID, Journalismfund.eu has successfully implemented a number of journalistic projects.

Received first diplomas for national and international television competitions.

In April 2017, he attended the Eurasian Mining Sector Course in Georgia.

Participated in the summer school of the Kiev School of Economics (Ukraine).

He also studied at the Deutsche Welle Academy and TOL and at BBS trainings.

In September 2018, he participated in the Hostwriter Ambassador Summit in Warsaw.

He is an Ambassador in Hostwriter. Fellowship # GIJC19.

One of the co-authors of the book “Unbias the News: Why diversity matters for journalism”.

He writes in Tajik (Persian), English and Russian.
