Juliana Thornton (BA – Anthropology, University of Chicago 2005; MPH – Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 2009) coordinates fundraising and development for the Department of Journalism at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and its associated projects and events. She has 15 years’ experience in civil society, fundraising and development, and has held management, research, M&E and fundraising positions with various organisations working toward human rights and development in South Africa.
