CCIJ’s commitment to social justice

The CCIJ community mourns the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and others in the United States and around the world who have been killed at the hands of those who are meant to “serve and protect.”

The Center for Collaborative Investigative Journalism (CCIJ) was founded on the principles of global collaboration, mentorship and community, and is committed to exposing injustice and finding solutions to the many problems of our increasingly globalized world.

A community of people from more than 30 countries on five continents, we stand with journalists around the world– like CCIJ’s own Ignace Sossou– who have been harassed, arrested, and brutalized by their police and governments.

The CCIJ community mourns the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and others in the United States and around the world who have been killed at the hands of those who are meant to “serve and protect.”

Our global community of investigative journalists, visual storytellers and data scientists promise to continue to work towards a more just world, learning from and with each other, striving for accountability, and seeking solutions to the systemic issues we investigate.
